For a while there, we weren’t sure these kind of days actually existed!
For day two of my pursuing interests, we went shopping. I shopped not only for clothes, but for materials I will be using on other days this month (some of which I am SUPER excited about). Here’s a picture of everything I got:
First place we headed to Saturday morning was the Farmer’s Market.
Now, I love the Farmer’s Market, mostly for the honey. The actual beekeeper is out there every time I go, and he answers all my questions about the best honey for allergies. But also because he sells the yummiest honey sticks I have ever tasted. Okay, they are the only ones I’ve ever tasted, but they are oh so good.
After the farmer’s market, we headed to the outlet mall. I gave myself a couple of conditions before walking into the stores. First, I was only going to be there for one hour. Second, I could only buy something under 10 dollars. Most of the stores were a bust, but I did get a really pretty shirt at Rue 21. The front of the shirt is in the “haul” picture up above, but here is the back of it:
I’ve wanted a lacy shirt for some time now, and this is the closest I’ve gotten so far.
Anyway, after that, we did some more shopping at Walmart to get things for the next couple of weeks. Then, because my husband was so gracious and sweet all day, we went to the golf course (the driving range to be exact).
I love golf courses because they are so quiet and pretty, but I had never actually been on one before Saturday. In fact, I had never actually held a golf club. The manager was kind enough to lend me a driver just to hit a few balls out of Michael’s bucket, just to see if I would like it. I have to say that I hit air mostly, but the couple of times I actually made contact with the ball were really exciting. Granted, it only went a few feet into the air, but I still liked it. Of course, I liked watching Michael hit the balls really high and far as well. He’s much better than I am.
And that was our nice, relaxing Saturday. I like that it’s summer here. While our weekdays are still crazy busy at work, our weekends tend to slow down. It was definitely a nice change of pace that was very much needed.
Oh, and today’s “interest” was cleaning and organizing. I didn’t have much to organize since I spent most of May organizing my house, but I did spend the day catching up on laundry and cleaning the bathrooms. Not really as exciting as yesterday, but again, just a another very needed day.
Hope you all a great weekend!
